For almost 100 years, the parish of St Joseph has been a home for the Catholic community of Port Talbot. It is down to the generosity of parishioners and friends that we have the beautiful Churches we enjoy today and a hall as a place of gathering and fellowship. As a parish, we do not receive any subsidies from the Archdiocese or the government. We rely entirely on the weekly collection, standing orders and donations to help make ends meet. By donating to St Joseph’s parish, you are helping to maintain a Catholic presence in our town and are enabling us to continue in our important work of evangelisation and outreach. Here how you can help.
Standing Orders
The most helpful way to give to the parish is via standing order. A standing order is a way of making a regular, fixed payment from your bank account. An amount of your choosing can be taken out at a frequency of your choosing (weekly, monthly etc). This can be done via your banking app using the following details:
Name of Account: Diocese of Menevia – Port Talbot ParishÂ
Bank: Natwest – Port Talbot Branch
Account Number: 09101454
Sort Code: 54-30-16
You can also set up a standing order by filling in the following form and dropping it into your bank.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is an income-tax relief scheme designed to benefit charities and sports clubs. The Parish of St Joseph is a charity as part of the Archdiocese of Cardiff-Menevia. If you are a UK tax-payer, we can claim an extra 25% on your donation at no expense to yourselves. To enrol in the Gift Aid Scheme please download the form below and hand it into the presbytery. More information about Gift Aid can be found here
Gifts and Legacies
If you wish to make a one-off gift to the parish, this can be made via direct debit using the parish account details given above.
If your faith has been an essential part of your life – a solace in difficult moments and a blessing in moments of joy – please consider leaving the parish a gift in your will. Not only is this a form of thanksgiving for the blessings you have received but it also helps us to continue to be there for all those who need us.
